How an AI job search agent works

An AI job search agent checks job sources for your chosen roles and locations, compares results with your career profile and helps you prepare an application. In Mr Job Agent, you review the jobs and decide where to apply; it does not submit applications for you.
Start with your experience and your target roles
A useful agent needs two different inputs: your factual career history and the work you want next. A resume records what you have done; it does not automatically define your next role. Review the extracted profile before choosing your search titles.
For example, a marketing manager might also consider Senior Digital Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing if the responsibilities and seniority fit. Approve only the variations you want. A suggested title is not proof that you meet every requirement.
- Create an account and open My Profile → Update Profile.
- Upload a PDF or DOCX resume, review the extracted experience and save your profile.
- Open MR. Job Agent, name your agent and choose roles, approved variations and locations.
- Run the scan, then open Searched Jobs to review its saved results.
What happens on a scheduled scan?
Eligible accounts can enable scans every 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours and choose email alerts in the agent settings. The hosted worker runs in the background; you do not need to keep a browser open. The interval controls when discovery is requested, rather than guaranteeing that a source returns new jobs every time.
Agents with overlapping searches can reuse public source results checked within the previous four hours. Missing search coverage starts additional collection. Source-check times stay visible, while location and freshness checks and profile matching remain specific to your search. Reuse does not copy another user's resume or fit scores.
Free currently includes one manual scan with up to three AI-matched jobs and one job-specific resume kit. Paid checkout is not open. Scheduled discovery and email alerts require an eligible account; a verified @iima.ac.in account receives a 15-day full-access trial.
Use match analysis to decide, not to hide opportunities
Results may include related roles and lower-scoring jobs. The fit explanation considers your reviewed profile and desired roles, but it is guidance rather than an employer's screening decision. Check the description for mandatory skills, experience, location and work eligibility.
LinkedIn Jobs, LinkedIn hiring-feed posts and Naukri have separate source filters. A hiring post can describe an opportunity without offering a formal Apply button. Read the original post and choose whether its contact instructions are useful to you.
Prepare for the job you choose
Open a job's application kit to generate an ATS-friendly resume from your saved career facts. You can select a format, preview the actual PDF and export PDF or DOCX. Cover letters and outreach drafts are optional.
Resume generation is on request, not automatic for every discovered job. Review every factual claim and apply on the original source site. Mr Job Agent does not automatically send recruiter messages, promise an interview or guarantee that every vacancy has been found.
